Admission to B. Ed Course 2026–28

1. Online submission of admission forms to the B.Ed. course for the session 2026–2028 will be issued to women graduates (preferably with Honours and / or Master Degree) candidates in English, Bengali, History, Geography, Economics, Education, Life Science (Zoology, Physiology, Botany, Microbiology and Biotechnology), Physical Science (Physics, Chemistry), Mathematics, B.E. / B.Tech. with Science and Mathematics on submission of last original Mark sheet (M.C. Resolution and DI approval in case of deputed teachers). Selection of Deputed Teachers of Secondary School/Madrasah affiliated to W.B.B.S.E./W.B.B.M.E. will be made on the basis of period of approved services in the school / Madrasah. Selection of fresher candidates will be done strictly on merit basis.


2. Applicants both deputed and fresher must have passed Bachelor degree and / or Master degree examination (with at least 50% marks in aggregate in case of candidates belonging to General category, 45% marks for SC and ST categories from a recognized University. For B.E/B.Tech with Science and Mathematics 55% for General category, 50% marks for SC and ST categories).


3. Age limit is 40 years for fresher candidates as on 01-07-2026 relaxable upto 5 years for reserved categories i.e. S.C., S.T., PWD and no age bar for deputed candidates.


4. Reservation and Selection will be made strictly as per NCTE, BSAEU (erstwhile WBUTTEPA) and State Govt. Norms. Form numbers of the selected candidates will be duly published in the website of the college.


5. Provisional selection list for counselling will be put up on the college website on 30/09/2026.


6. Provision has been made at present for providing instruction in the pedagogy of teaching the following subjects, out of which one is to be selected: English, Bengali, History, Geography, Economics, Education, Life Science, Physical Science & Mathematics.


7. After admission candidates must show all original documents relevant to admission. Mark sheets from school level to last examination, Age Verification Certificate, Caste Certificate, PWD Certificate etc. These documents are essential. If any discrepancy is found, admission of the candidate will be cancelled. A hard copy of the Application Form is to be submitted.


8. Every student must have 80% attendance in theory classes and 90% attendance in practicum classes as per University norms.


9. The admission of the student will stand cancelled if the student fails to join the classes within 7 days after commencement of the session.


10. Submission of admission form does not ensure admission.


11. Enlistment of name in the provisional selection list for counselling does not ensure admission.


12. Forms will be cancelled if the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria of NCTE and BSAEU (erstwhile WBUTTEPA).


13. In the matter of general conduct, discipline of the students will be guided by the rules framed by the college authorities.


14. The total number of intake is 50, where 5% seats are reserved for deputed candidates. Reservation of seats is as per state government rules.


15. The Candidates who will be finally selected for admission have to submit Anti-Ragging Affidavit online through the official UGC Anti Ragging Portal.They have to submit duly signed hard copy of the generated Anti Ragging declaration form to the college authority.


16. Date of Counseling and Admission on 23/09/2025.


17. Details of Counseling and Admission will be notified on 19/09/2025.
